Why is it mentioned in the Holy Quran that the Earth was created first and then the seven heavens?

The question often arises: "Why does the Holy Quran state that the Earth was created first and then the seven heavens?" This writing aims to explore this topic, which necessitates discussing the stages of the Earth's creation.

1-The Beginning of the Earth: Approximately 4.5 billion years ago, the Earth formed from raw materials transferred from dead stars and meteorites. Initially, the Earth was hot and molten, lacking a suitable atmosphere.

2-Meteorites and Organic Materials: During this period, meteorites and comets brought various materials, including water, gases, and organic substances (such as amino acids) to Earth. These organic materials were likely key factors in forming life on Earth.

3-The Emergence of Primitive Life (Cyanobacteria): About 3.8 billion years ago, the first cyanobacteria began to multiply. These single-celled organisms were capable of harnessing sunlight and performing photosynthesis. In this process, these bacteria converted carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates and oxygen. This event marked the first introduction of oxygen into the Earth's atmosphere.

4-Formation of the Earth's Atmosphere: Initially, the Earth's atmosphere was significantly different, composed of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and water vapor. Over time, due to the photosynthesis of cyanobacteria, oxygen was added to the atmosphere. These changes gradually enriched the Earth's atmosphere with oxygen, creating conditions for the emergence of more complex and diverse life forms.

5-Formation of Atmospheric Layers: The Earth's atmosphere underwent many changes over millions of years, gradually forming various layers. Eventually, these layers were divided into seven distinct layers.

In verse 29 of Surah Al-Baqarah, the Almighty God has referred to this:

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ﴿۲۹﴾

He created for you all that is in the earth, then, He willed to the heaven, and leveled them seven heavens. He has knowledge of all things. (29)

It is important to note here that the seven heavens mentioned in this verse are different from outer space and refer to the seven layers of the atmosphere: the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, exosphere, ionosphere, and magnetosphere. As mentioned, according to the verse, after the formation of the Earth, organic materials and the building blocks of living organisms were brought to Earth by meteorites, and then the seven layers of the atmosphere, as described in the Holy Quran, were formed.

The Quran's Reference to the Lightless Nature of Black Holes

Black holes, for specific physical reasons, cannot allow light to pass through them. These reasons include the following . 1. Strong Gravity : Black holes possess an extremely strong gravitational pull that attracts light towards them. When light reaches the event horizon of a black hole, it cannot escape, and is consequently drawn into the black hole.  2. Event Horizon: The event horizon is a hypothetical boundary beyond which nothing, not even light, can escape from the black hole. The gravity at this boundary is so intense that it bends the path of the light inward toward the black hole.  3.Space-Time Curvature : According to Einstein's general theory of relativity, massive objects, such as black holes, can severely curve space and time. This curvature is such that light cannot travel in a straight line and instead follows a curved path that leads to a black hole.  4. Escape Velocity  The escape velocity from a black hole exceeds the speed of light. Becaus...

*The Quran's Reference to the Spiral Structures of the Universe

Using NASA's "Pleiades" supercomputer, scientists have discovered a new spiral structure at the edge of the solar system. Spirals are a recurring theme in astronomy, with the Milky Way being the most famous example. This spiral comprises billions of icy bodies surrounded by a cometary shell called Oort Cloud. Although the Oort Cloud is hidden at the edge of our planetary system and spans nearly 99,000 times the distance between Earth and the Sun, scientists have not had much information about its structure until now.  However, these findings provide important information regarding this structure.  Luke Dones, a senior scientist at the Southwest Research Institute, announced that some comets in the inner Oort Cloud, located between 1,000 to 10,000 astronomical units away, form a stable spiral structure. He added, "We were completely astonished. Spirals can be observed in Saturn's rings, disks around young stars, and galaxies. It seems that the universe has an affi...

Quran Swear to Star size,s

The sun is one of the stars and it is a million times the size of the earth, which means that a million planets can fit inside the sun and the area of the earth is very small compared to the sun. What is interesting is that the sun is not the biggest star in the world, and is a medium-sized star, for example, a star called U-Way is about 1700 times the size of the sun, and there is a star called NML Dajaje . the area is about 1,600 times that of the sun [1], which means that the area of the U-Y shield star is about one billion seven hundred times that of Earth, while the area of the NML star is about a billion. Six hundred times bigger than Earth, ie. To compare the size of the world with these two stars, we can refer to the size of a grain of sand by the sea. The biggest star in the universe is called VY Canis Majoris, which is five thousand light years from the earth and is eight billion times the size of the sun./000 as big as the earth! Verses 75 and 76 are written in S...
